An amendment requiring that any new projects built within the overall Mississippi River and Tributaries Flood Control program meet the bill's new cost sharing requirements. Excepted from this requirement are channel and levee construction work and acquisition of related lands, easements and rights-of-way on the main stem of the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers.
