An amendment requiring a report to committees of Congress within 180 days of the economic and security implications for the U.S. and Israel of development and production of the Lavi aircraft. The study is to include estimates of the likely impact of the program on U.S. and Israeli employment and trade flows, contrasted with purchase of U.S. produced comparable aircraft, and comparisons of the probable performance, unit cost, and delivery schedules of the Lavi and comparable U.S. produced aircraft.
