Amendment99th Congress
An amendment providing for capital punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for espionage. Capital punishment may be imposed only if the members of the court martial find that the offense concerned nuclear weaponry, military spacecraft or satellites, early warning systems, or other means of defense or retaliation against large scale attack, war planes, communications intelligence or crypotographic information, or any other major weapons system or major element of defense strategy. Provisions for mitigating factors in relation to the sentence are included.
