An amendment adding a new section requiring the President to submit a report to Congress on the legality and feasibility of transferring to the United Kingdom the ownership of any Poseidon class submarine proposed to be dismantled. If this transfer is not feasible the report is to consider conversion of the submarine into an SSN or SSGN type submarine or of using it as a Poseidon class training platform. The report is due within 30 days of enactment of the bill.
