An amendment directing DOD to submit to Congress with its funding request for the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) for FY'87 a report setting out probable responses of potential enemies to SDI deployment. The amendment specifies areas the report is to cover: a) increase in offensive weapons quality and quantity to penetrate the SDI shield, b) affect on cruise missiles and low trajectory submarine missiles not affected by SDI on an enemy's not deploying anti-satellite weapons, d) the advantage of sharing SDI information with potential enemies, e) cost estimates. Funds are to made available for this study.
