An amendment to provide general requirements regarding military authority to locate, pursue, and seize aircraft and vessels carrying illegal narcotics into the U.S.; to require the President to deploy radar aircraft, pursuit aircraft, and to utilize National Guard and Reserves to aid drug interdiction at U.S. borders; to require the President to report to Congress on the progress of such activities; to provide $125,000,000 in funding to carry out the directives of the drug interdiction program; and, to provide that the amendment's provisions will expire on Sept. 30, 1989.
