An amendment to express congressional concern about the recent assassination of Herbert Anaya Sanabria, who served as president of El Salvador's non-governmental Human Rights Commission. It instructs the President to offer investigative assistance of U.S. agencies to the Government of El Salvador. The amendment also requires the President to report to the Congress not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and on every 90th day thereafter during fiscal years 1988 and 1989, on efforts made by the government of El Salvador to identify and bring to trial the murderers of Herbert Anaya.
