An amendment to require that all individuals who receive family planning assistance be informed of (1) the effectiveness of the particular contraceptive method provided for the prevention of AIDS; (2) that many individuals who develop the HIV virus will die; and (3) that the most effective way to avoid becoming infected with the HIV virus is to abstain from homosexual relations, from heterosexual relations outside of marriage, and from intravenous drug use.
