Amendment100th Congress
An amendment directing the Secretary of Transportation to notify the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and the House Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries of any existing waivers of warranty requirements with respect to contracts made with prime contractors for major systems acquisitions for the Coast Guard, as well as the reasons for such waivers. Without this language, the Secretary need only notify the Appropriations Committees of both Houses of Congress when such waivers are contemplated.
