An amendment to prohibit area agencies on aging from using federal funds to attempt to influence the outcomes of any federal, state or local election, referendum, initiative or similar procedure through in kind or cash contributions, endorsements, publicity or similar activity; to attempt to establish, administer, contribute to, or pay the expenses of a political party, campaign, political action committee, or other organization established for the purpose of influencing the outcomes of elections; and to attempt to influence the outcome of federal or state legislation through lobbying which would result in specific amounts of funds under the Older Americans Act being used solely to accomplish a lobbying objective other than affecting policy related to programs for the elderly.
