- Purpose
- A substitute for the Stenholm amendment that would increase the threshold for application of the Davis-Bacon Act from $2,000 to $50,000 for new federally funded construction projects and create a new threshold of $15,000 for all federally funded repair, alteration, renovation, rehabilitation or reconstruction projects. The amendment would also require that current wage surveys be continued as a means of determining the "prevailing wage" in an area and reduces existing payroll reporting requirements from weekly to bi-monthly.
