- Purpose
- An amendment to improve rural drug enforcement and international supply interdiction efforts. The amendment would establish a Rural Drug Policy Coordinator within the drug czar's office and authorize $20 million in funding over three years for rural drug enforcement assistanc. The interdiction provisions of the bill would be amended by establishing an International Drug Interdiction Training Simulator Center at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center facility at Marana, Arizona. Any additional budget outlays would be offset by reductions in government travel.
