- Substitute amendment for the Mavroules amendment (A015) sought to authorize $6 million in community adjustment assistance grants under the DOD Office of Economic Adjustment to communities determined to be adversely impacted by reductions in defense funding.
- Purpose
- A substitute amendment which would require the Defense Department to notify communities of planned defense reductions which would adversely affect the community, making them eligible for existing OEA community adjustment planning assistance. The amendment woudl increase the authorized assistance for the program from $2 million to $6 million a year, to be provided from Army, Air Force and Navy accounts for general purpose data processing systems.
