- Purpose
- An amendment to permit HUD to make grants to Community Development Corporations to buy down interest rates (to as low as 60% of market rates) on economic development loans made to businesses and non-profit organizations for projects and activities that assist in the rejuvenation of economically depressed areas. Eligible areas would include those designated as federal enterprise zones and areas that would be eligible for assistance under the Urban Development Action Grant program.
