Purpose
An amendment comprised of three amendments offered en bloc to prohibit the issuance of contracts to companies in nations that unfairly discriminate against U.S. products or services if such trade discrimination injures U.S. businesses; to prohibit the issuance of contracts to any company that intentionally affixes a "Made in America" label to non-U.S. made products sold or shipped into the United States; and, to give "Buy American" preferences for domestic firms over foreign firms if the final product will be completely assembled in the United States, at least half of the final product will be domestically produced, and the price difference between domestic and foreign bids is 6% or less.
