- Purpose
- An amendment to establish a 10-year demonstration project in up to four cities to encourage private development of mixed income housing in communities surrounding existing public housing projects. The amendment would require that 25% of the units to be privately developed be reserved for very low income families for the life of the building. Rents from these units could make up to 30% of the building's income but could not exceed the maximum for rents established by the local housing authority.
