- Purpose
- An amendment to reduce the bill's appropriation for pensions and allowances for former Presidents from $2 million to $449,200. The amendment eliminates all allowances for the former Presidents, but leaves each of the four former Presidents with a pension of $107,300, and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson with a pension of $20,000.
