- Amendment was technical in nature and added language which authorized the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a study on the long-term water, sewer, and power supply needs of the U.S. insular areas.
- Purpose
- An amendment to strike the provisions of the bill relating to the acreage limitations of the Warren Act and to revise provisions concerning a fish hatchery project in West Virginia, requiring a feasibility study prior to its construction. The amendment also requires the Bureau of Reclamation to conduct a study on methods to improve the water, sewer and power needs of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
