Purpose
An amendment to strenghthen the provisions of the 1982 Reclamation Reform Act by limiting water subsidies to farms no larger than 960 acres in size. Under current law, several small parcels of land can be farmed together and remain eligible for water subsidies even though the total acreage exceeds 960 acres. The amendment would restrict water subsidies to farm operations of 960 acres or less.
