- Amendment sought to establish a Trans-Alaska Pipeline Restoration Trust Fund to be financed and used by pipeline owners for environmental restoration and rehabilitation in Alaska after the oil had been extracted.
- Purpose
- An amendment to establish a five cents per barrel fee on Trans-Alaska Pipeline oil to be used for environmental restoration and rehabilitation after the pipeline shuts down. Receipts from the fee would be placed in a Trans-Alaska Restoration Bond Fund to be owned and administered by the pipeline owners.
