- Amendment raised the presumption that any individual who controlled an airline carrier and had collectively filed for bankruptcy more than once was unfit to acquire another airline.
- Purpose
- An amendment to add to the list of criteria that the Transportation Department must consider in determining whether proposed stock acquisitions should be disaproved by requiring inclusion of the bankruptcy history of the party seeking to make the acquisition and moreover, whether the party has been involved in more than one bankruptcy.
