Purpose
An amendment to assure protection of riparian habitats by directing the Secretary of Agriculture to maintain a buffer zone of a minimum of 100 feet within which logging operations would be prohibited on each side of all anadromous fish streams and their tributaries in the Tongass National Forest, except those tributaries with no resident fish populations and which are intermittent in flow, or have flow of inadequate magnitude to directly influence downstream fish habitats.
