- Purpose
- An amendment to delete $8.6 million of the funds provided in the bill for aid to the Nicaraguan opposition party election activities. The amendment would retain $400,000 in funding for the election monitoring activities of the Council of Freely-Elected Heads of Government, headed by former President Jimmy Carter.
