- Purpose
- An amendment to authorize $450 million in FY 1990 and $600 million in FY 1991 for increased drug interdiction and law enforcement activities from funds previously cut from SDI. The amendment provides additional funding to increase the involvement of the National Guard in drug interdiction activities and changes existing law which requires local law enforcement agencies to reimburse the Defense Department for drug enforcement assistance.
