- Amendment authorized $276.4 million for the Army Helicopter Improvement Program (AHIP). It offset these funds by reducing procurement funds for Army Weapons and Tracked Combat Vehicles and other Army procurement.
- Purpose
- An amendment to reinstate $276.4 million in authorizations for Army aircraft procurement funds for the Army Helicopter Improvement Program and to increase the overall Army aircraft procurement authorization by $226.4 million, the increase to be off-set by reducing authorizations as follows: 1) $61.5 million for Weapons and Tracked Combat Vehicles; 2) $164.8 million for Other Army Procurement. The amendment was modified to specify that no more than $24.4 million of the reduced authorization for Other Army Procurement should come from the Enhanced Postion Location Reporting System.
