- Purpose
- An amendment to delete language which would require that all U.S. cash assistance to recipient nations be used to purchase U.S. goods and services and requiring that 50 percent of such goods be carried on U.S. ships. The amendment inserts language which expresses as the sense of Congress that recipient nations should, to the extent possible, import U.S. goods and services using a wide variety of U.S. modes of transportation.
