- Purpose
- An amendment to raise the minimum wage to ten cents less per hour than the committee bill, while implementing each stage of the increase three months earlier than called for in the committee bill. The amendment creates a sub-minimum "training wage", but establishes a time limitation of sixty days during which such wages may be paid and restricts payment of such wages to those employees with no previous work experience. The amendment raises the "tip credit" provisions of the bill and extends the protections of the Act to certain House employees.
