- Amendment exempted a certain brewery from new bottle labeling provisions scheduled to go into effect in November 1989.
- Purpose
- An amendment to prevent the expenditure of funds by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to enforce labeling requirements for malt beverage glass returnable bottles of 12 ounces or less to which labels have been permanently affixed by means of painting and heat treatment if such returnable bottles were ordered on or before April 21, 1989, and provided that the closure for such bottles must contain the appropriate warning statement. The amendment further provides that any new returnable glass bottles ordered after April 21, 1989, will be in full compliance with existing labeling regulations.
