An amendment to limit the duty time of airline flight attendants to 14 hours for domestic flights, 16 hours for short-range intercontinental flights, and 20 hours for long-range intercontinental flights. The amendment would specify minimum rest periods for flight attendants of 10 1/2 hours for domestic flight duty, 12 1/2 hours for short-term intercontinental flights, and a rest period equivalent to twice the scheduled flight time of long-range intercontinental flights.
