- Purpose
- Amendment in the nature of a substitute sought to designate 3.4 million acres in Montana as wilderness; provide for 154 miles of wild and scenic river designations; establish the Wild Lands Recovery Program; protect Federal water rights; require a study of the Glacier View Ranger District for possible addition to the National Park System; and require a study of the northern Rockies ecosystem.
