- An amendment to make technical changes to a provision in the bill which requires that federal highway grants to individual states be reduced by 2% annually unless the state enacts laws requiring that the drivers licenses of persons convicted of selling or using drugs be automatically suspended for at least six months.
- Purpose
- Amendment makes technical corrections to the FY 1991 Transportation Appropriations Act and requires the Secretary of Transportation to withhold annually two percent of the Federal highway funds provided to those States that do not enact legislation requiring the automatic suspension for at least six months of the drivers' licenses of individuals convicted of drug offenses.
