An amendment in the nature of a substitute making certain technical corrections to section No. 1 of the Senate bill, and adding a new section which authorizes the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration to award a five-year, $750,000 grant to establish a pilot program for training in clinical pharmacology to evaluate the extent to which such programs can contribute to increasing the number of trained biomedical personnel in clinical pharmacology. Said grant to be awarded through competitive bidding at an appropriate medical school currently without such a program.
