- Purpose
- An amendment to change the thrust of the Doolittle amendment so as to allow schools which teach sex education to have the option of whether or not to emphasize abstinence from sexual intercourse as the most effective method of preventing unwanted pregnancies. The amendment also stipulates that nothing in the amendment should construed as asserting federal control over curriculum or related activities in schools.
