- Purpose
- An amendment to clarify and make technical changes to specify that water quality criteria are as protective of human health as EPA criteria for pathogens and pathogen indicators; include Indian tribes in bill provisions; specify that EPA is authorized not mandated to make grants if appropriated funds are not available; clarify that the information database is for exceedances of standards for pathogens and that EPA need not implement a monitoring and notification program in states where they exist.
