- To set aside $25,185,000, the amount provided for research and development relating to Persian Gulf illnesses, of which $4,000,000 is to be available for continuation of research into Gulf War syndrome that includes multidisciplinary studies of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and $2,000,000 is to be available for expansion of the research program in the Upper Great Plains region.
