- Amendment allows tax-exempt financing to be used in conjunction with the Section 538 Multi-Family Loan Guarantee Program under USDA.

- An amendment to prohibit the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from denying a loan guarantee for multifamily rental units in rural areas if the interest on the loan is exempt from inclusion in gross income for purposes of chapter 1 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
