- Amendment modifies the National Activities section of the bill and expands the evaluation requirements contained in the bill in order to gauge the effectiveness of charter schools.
- Purpose
- An amendment to require that any present or future evaluations of student achievement in charter schools include the following: 1. The number of students who applied for admission and the number of students enrolled disaggregated on the basis of race, age, disability, gender, english proficiency, and previous enrollment in public school; 2. student acheivement; 3. the qualifications of charter school employees; 4. a description of the relationship between a developer or administrator and the for-profit entity involved in the development of any charter school.
