Amendment originally sought to prohibit any funds from being spent on land acquisition or construction of the Animas LaPlata Water Project in Colorado and New Mexico. \ As amended by the Fazio substitute amendment (A007), the above was replaced with language that that prohibits funding for the Animas-LaPlata Project in Colorado and New Mexico except for activities required to comply with the applicable provisions of current law; and continuation of activities pursuant to the Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights Settlement Act of 1988.
