- An amendment to repeal provisions of current law that prohibit privately-funded abortions at overseas Defense Department medical facilities. The effect of the amendment would be to allow the restoration of regulations that permit abortions for service members and their dependents at overseas Defense Department medical facilities---provided the woman pays for the abortion.
