- Amendment prohibits the performance of military honors at the funeral of a person who has been convicted of a crime for which death is a possible punishment and for which the person was sentenced to death or life imprisonment without parole.
- Purpose
- An amendment which denies eligibility for burial with military honors and burial in a national cemetery to any service member who is convicted of a crime punishable by the death penalty, and who is sentenced either to death or life imprisonment without parole.
