- Amendment sought to exempt residents and others receiving choice-based housing assistance from community work requirements, agreements establishing target dates for transition out of assisted housing, and minimum rent requirements when HUD takes possession or operation of a public housing authority.
- Purpose
- An amendment to allow HUD, whenever it takes over or replaces the management of a troubled public housing authority, to exempt public housing tenants and families that receive rental assistance in that authority's jurisdiction from the bill's community service work requirements, requirements that tenants set a target date by which they expect to move out of public housing, and minimum rent requirements.
