- Amendment sought to delete title IV, the Home Rule Flexible Grant Option, which gives local governments and municipalities flexibility in administering Federal housing assistance.
- Purpose
- An amendment numbered 13 as printed in the Congressional Record, to strike Title IV of the bill, the "Home Rule Flexible Grants", under which local governments, if approved by HUD, could develop and administer their own flexible low-income housing programs, and receive all the federal public housing and assisted housing (except project-based) funding that would otherwise be provided to the local housing authority.
