- Amendment sought to require reasonable price agreements for the sale of drugs developed by NIH.
- Purpose
- An amendment, printed as amendment No. 12 in the Congressional Record of July 9, 1996 to prohibit the use of funds appropriated in the bill to be used by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to enter into an agreement to grant a private company exlusive rights to market drugs developed by the National Institutes of Health, unless the sale of the the drug is subject to a reasonable price agreement, or such an agreement is determined to be not required.
