- Amendment increases funding for the Legal Services Corporation from $141 million to $250 million.
- Purpose
- An amendment, printed as amendment No. 32 in the Congressional Record of July 22, 1996, to increase funds appropriated in the bill for the Legal Services Corp. by $109 million. The funding increase would be offset by reducing the appropriations for the Asset Forteiture Fund, salaries and expenses of the Federal Prison System, Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Court of Appeals, District Courts, and Other Judicial Services, and the SEC, and from the National Bankruptcy Review Commission.
