- Purpose
- An amendment numbered 59 as printed in the Congressional Record to increase the VA's medical care account by $40 million and to increase the VA's benefit administration operating expenses by $17 million from its current level of $824 million. The offset would come from a 0.4 percent reduction from the amount appropriated for Army Cemeterial expenses and a reduction in amounts appropriated for the American Battle Monuments Commision and Court of Veterans Appeals of $40 million and $17 million respectively.
