- An amendment numbered 51 as printed in the Congressional Record to eliminate funding for Americorps which receives #367 million under the bill. The amendment would then transfer $20 million to Veterans Health Administration Medical Care, $20 million to VA medical and prosthetic research, and the remaining $327 million toward deficit reduction.
