- Amendment increases funding for the Community Development Block Grant Program by $300 million and reduces funding for HUD Annual Contributions for Assisted Housing by $100 million and FEMA Disaster Relief by $200 million.
- Purpose
- An amendment to increase by $300 million (to $4.6 billion) the appropriation for Community Development Block Grants which brings the level of funding for CDBG's to the FY 1996 level and the level requested by the Administration. The offset would come from a $300 million reduction in funding for FEMA.
