- Amendment restores $2.26 million for salaries and expenses of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
- Purpose
- An amendment to eliminate the bill's provision requiring that $1.3 million of the appropriation for the Office of National Drug Control Policy be used for drug prevention public service announcements, and that makes $2.5 million of the office's appropriation available only after the Director of the Office reaches an agreement with the House and Senate Appropriations Committees on a FY 1997 organizational plan.
