- Amendment sought to increase funding for National Science Foundation (NSF) salaries and administrative expenses by $9 million; and delete language that eliminated one NSF directorate.
- Purpose
- An amendment, printed as amendment No. 14 in the Congressional Record of May 8, 1996, to inscrease funds authorized in the bill for the National Science Foundation Inspector General's office from $120 million to $129 million. The amendment would also delete the provision of the bill which limits the NSF to a maximum of six Directorates.
