- An amendment to delete the provisions of current law that prohibits privately funded abortions at Defense Department hospitals and other medical facilities overseas. The amendment would permit women members of the armed forces and their dependents to obtain abortions at such facilities, as long as the costs for the abortion is paid for by the individual.
